Welcome to the Hawaya Privacy! This document describes and explains how we collect, store, protect, share your information, with whom we share it, and also tells you everything you should know about choosing how your information is handled and disclosures. Here, Hawaya (Data Controller) is also referred as “we”, ”us”, or “our”. We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy carefully when using our mobile applications and websites, (the “Services” ) or transacting business with us.

We only obtain information from your Facebook account that you specifically authorise and grant us permission to obtain. You are able to have full control of your information registered in Hawaya and can update at any time just logging in to Hawaya (apart from email address, date of birth and gender that you will be able to change only through your Facebook account in order to correct something). Some of the registration Information, which includes you name, age and gender may be visible to the public on your profile page inside the application. Among the types of Personal Data that this Harmonica collects, by itself or through third parties, there are: camera permission, for account verification, approximate location permission (continuous) and social media accounts permission.

 

In General. We may collect Sensitive Data and other informations as well. Sensitive Data includes information, comments or content (e.g. photographs, video, profile, lifestyle) that you optionally provide that may reveal your ethnic origin, nationality, religion and/or sexual orientation. By providing Sensitive Data to us, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of Sensitive Data as permitted by applicable privacy laws. We may also collect your geolocation information with your consent. We may collect this information through our online services, such as website and mobile application.

 

Information you provide. We may collect and store any personal information you enter on our website or on a mobile application, or provide to us in some other manner. This includes identifying information, such as your name, address, email address and telephone number, and, if you transact business with us, financial information such as your payment method (valid credit card number, type, expiration date or other financial information). Information collected by third-parties. We may allow service providers, advertising companies, ad networks and other third parties, to display advertisements on our site. These companies may use tracking technologies, such as cookies, to collect information about users who view or interact with their advertisements. We do not provide any non-masked or non-obscured personal information to these third parties.

 

Data Storage. By using the App, you agree and states that know that Hawaya is an app that, mainly, has its server located in Egypt. If you live in a country with data protection laws, the storage of your personal data may not provide you with the same protections as you enjoy in your country of residence. By, intentionally or automatically, submitting your personal or commercial data, as well as sensitive data, you agree to the transfer of your personal information to, and storage and processing of your personal information in Egypt.

Financial information. We may use financial information or payment method information to (i) process payment for any purchases, (ii) enrol you in the discount, rebate, and other programs in which you elect to participate, (iii) to protect against or identify possible fraudulent transactions, and (iv) otherwise as needed to manage our business.

 

Job applicants. If your personal information is submitted when applying for a position with our company, the information will be used solely in connection with considering and acting upon your application. We may retain your personal information, but only for the purpose of considering your application for current or future available positions.

By default, this includes your information such as id, name, picture, gender, and their locale. Certain connections such as the your friends, are also available. If you have made more of your data public, more information will be available.

About Me

Provides access to your 'About Me' section of the profile.

Access Requests

Provides read access to your friend requests.

Birthday

Provides access to your birthday.

Email

Provides access to your primary email address.

Gender

Provides access to your gender information.

 

Device permissions for Personal Data access

Depending on your specific device, Hawaya may request certain permissions that allow it to access your device data as described below. By default, these permissions must be granted by you before the respective information can be accessed. Once the permission has been given, it can be revoked by you at any time. In order to revoke these permissions, you may refer to the device settings or contact us for support at the contact details provided in the bottom part of this policy. The exact procedure for controlling app permissions may be dependent on your device and software. Please note that the revoking of such permissions might impact the proper functioning of this application. If you grant any of the permissions listed below, the respective personal data may be processed (i.e accessed to, modified or removed) by us.

 

Approximate location permission (continuous)

Used for accessing your approximate device location. We may collect, use, and share your location data in order to provide location-based services, such as a match that you like to be in the same city as you.

Camera permission

Used for accessing the camera or capturing images and video from the device and also verifying your account, when requested by you to do it.

 

Data retention

 

If you have an online account with us, you may delete or disable your account at any time by visiting the "Settings" page for your account. If you delete or disable your account, we will retain certain data for analytical purposes and recordkeeping integrity, as well as to prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, enforce our terms and conditions, take actions we deem necessary to protect the integrity of our Services or our users, or take other actions otherwise permitted by law. In addition, if certain information has already been provided to third parties as described in this Privacy Policy, retention of that information will be subject to those third parties' policies.

This type of service allows Hawaya to build user profiles by starting from an email address, a personal name, or other information that the User provides to this Application, as well as to track User activities through analytics features. This Personal Data may also be matched with publicly available information about the User (such as social networks' profiles) and used to build private profiles that the Owner can display and use for improving this Application. Some of these services may also enable the sending of timed messages to the User, such as emails based on specific actions performed on this Application.

 

Intercom (Intercom Inc.)

Intercom is a user database management service provided by Intercom Inc. Intercom can also be used as a medium for communications, either through email, or through messages within this Application. We also may retain contact information (such as messages, email or any other type of contact) due to private analyses of quality or for training and improving our intern customer support.

Onward transfer and consent to international processing

We are a growing corporation with users and operations in multiple countries. In addition, we may employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf.
